Motor Neurone Disease Nurse Vacancy
The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the primary support organisation in Ireland for people diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), their carers and families. In light of the success of the Ice Bucket Challenge Campaign we are now in a position to recruit another MND Nurse.
The MND Nurse would work with people with MND and their families, carry out home visits, provide nursing contact and a help line, attend a monthly clinic in Beaumont and also to liaise with health professionals within local communities.
- 5 years qualified experience, 2 of which must be within the last 3 years
- Diploma in neurology or experience desirable
- Be on the live register with An Bord Altranais
- Strong organisational and self management capability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full clean EU driving licence
This is a challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse who is keen to develop professionally. The position will involve traveling, covering the East and South of Ireland and a car will be provided.
The appointment will be on a one year contract basis initially, with the prospect of extension dependent on funding.
Salary will be based on INO scales, and reflect qualifications and experience.
