We have the great pleasure of inviting you to our Annual Conference 2022, which will be held on Friday 7th October at the Charleville Park Hotel, Charleville, Co. Cork. We are delighted to be back having an in-person event. Although, if you are unable to be with us in person you can join us virtually.

The Annual Conference will start at 10.50am and will feature a variety of speakers, including Professor Orla Hardiman.

10.55am –11.00am Welcome & Update by Lillian McGovern (CEO of IMNDA)

11.00am – 11.30am Virtual presentation “I Will Always Be Me”Nick Goldup (Director of Care Improvement, MND Association) and Richard Cave (Senior Speech and Language Therapist, MND Association) –  Followed by Q&A​

11.30am – 11.55am Virtual presentation “MND Research Update 2022” Prof Orla Hardiman, Academic Unit of Neurology, Trinity College Dublin and Beaumont Hospital – Followed by Q&A 

11.55 – 12.10pm Coffee Break

12.10pm – 12.30pm“How Will MND Affect My Family?” Dr Sile Carney (Psychologist in clinical training, University of Limerick) – Followed by Q&A​

12.30pm -12.45pm Virtual presentation“The Caregiver Experience”Dr. Miriam Galvin, Academic Unit of Neurology, Trinity College Dublin – Followed by Q&A

12.45pm -1.25pm“Making Modified Diets Appetising”Niamh Condon, Dining with Dignity and Katie Burke, Senior Speech & Language Therapist, Tallaght University Hospital Followed by Q&A 

1.25pm -1.35pm Awarding of Thumbs Up Appreciation Pins by Lillian McGovern (CEO IMNDA)

1.35pm – 1.40pm Recap & Thank You by Jonathan Healy, MC

1.40pm Lunch of soup, assorted sandwiches & wraps, tea & coffee.
