Annual Memorial Service 2021 – Postponed

Our team here at IMNDA planned a very different memorial service this year to remember and honour those who have passed away from motor neurone disease. Mindful that due to government restrictions we were unable to hold an event last year we really hoped to host a truly special occasion for all families across Ireland who so sadly lost a loved one to this illness.
Since last week we have taken advice from many sources and we are particularly conscious of government guidelines. As we view developments now we consider that the absolute safest and most appropriate action for us to take is to postpone our memorial until Spring next year, when hopefully we will have come through this unexpected wave of Covid.
We have cancelled all other events in the IMNDA calendar for the remainder of the year as a result of the recent increase in cases. However, it is with a very heavy heart that the team has come to the decision that postponement of this event is the correct course of action at this time for everyone’s safety.
We hope you understand our decision and agree that this is the very best approach given the uncertainty of where we find ourselves. We will re-arrange this very special event in early Spring at the very lovely venue of the O’Reilly Hall at UCD, as planned. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to UCD and we will give you plenty of notice on a date as soon as we can.
Our thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family at this time and we look forward to seeing you in person in 2022.
