“Stick on the kettle, get the biscuits out and we all have a cup of tea”
June is Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Month and every year all over Ireland homes and businesses of all sizes put the kettle on to do something really special to raise much needed funds for families living with Motor Neurone Disease and that is exactly what the Cooleragh Men’s Shed Club recently done.
The Cooleragh Men’s Shed Club recently and successfully held a Tea for MND and hot breakfast event on Saturday 2nd July with the main aim of raising much needed funds and awareness of this disease.
The rain held off on the day and everyone congregated for the hot breakfast, cup of tea and most importantly the chat. The event raised almost €1,700 for this very worthy cause. All funds raised will provide support to people living with motor neurone and their families. The event also helped promote community engagement and inclusion so it was a win win all around!
The Cooleragh Men’s Shed club would like to express their gratitude to all who supported the event. They are pictured below presenting the cheque to IMNDA.
