In-depth Series of MND Webinars for Occupational Therapy

We wanted to share with you some very important webinar dates for your diary. Accora are once again hosting an in-depth MND webinar with the esteemed Jenny Rolfe, MSc OT. A session will also be hosted by our very own Naomi Fitzgibbon, Director of Nursing and Services.

A SERIES OF 3 WEBINARS BY JENNY ROLFE LOOKING AT MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE AND HOW OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE TO PEOPLE LIVING WITH MND AND THEIR FAMILIES.
Jenny Rolfe MSc Occupational Therapist
Jenny worked with the Oxford MND Care and Research Centre based at the John Radcliff hospital in Oxford for 14 years. In this post she worked solely with people living with MND and their families from all over the UK. Jenny worked with the Motor Neurone Disease Association (UK) on many of their publications, education events and specific campaigns and strategies. Jenny also represented Occupational Therapy in the development and writing of the NICE guidelines for the management of MND (NG42) in 2016, forming part of the expert clinical panel. Jenny continues to work with MND and is part of the expert core of the MND Associations Community of Practice.
A fourth workshop is to be delivered by Naomi from the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, where she will explain our role, discuss the support we provide to people living with MND and their families in Ireland and the support we can give to you as health care professionals.
- November 7th @10.30am: Session 1: What is Motor Neurone Disease and why should I know more about it?
- November 22nd @10.30am: Session 2: How health care professionals can help with the management of MND focusing on Occupational Therapy
- December 5th @10.30am: Session 3: MND and the wider Multi professional team and how OT can make an impact in the end stages of life
- December 12th @10.30: Session 4: MND in Ireland, the IMNDA role, how we support people living with MND and their families and the services we deliver in collaboration with Allied Health Care Professionals in Ireland.
