KODALINE
July 4th, 2014
IMNDA proudly presented KODALINE and special guests live for one exclusive & intimate concert in Whelans, Wexford Street, Wednesday July 2nd & 3rd. Tickets were priced €40.00 and all proceeds from this special event went to the IMNDA.
Kodaline fans were very lucky to be at this intimate venue and were treated to a very special evening that was approximately over one hour long. Some of the hits the lads played included ‘All I want’ which was dedicated to Jan Battles who has Motor Neurone Disease and was responsible for pulling off this fantastic gig in this intimate setting. Other hits included High Hopes, Perfect World and ‘One Day’ to name a few!
The band has decided to perform these exclusive tracks in this setting as a once off performance for the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association, because of their close relationship with Jan.
Special Guests on each night included Kid Karate, The Academic, Orla Gartland & Demi Louise.
All in all both nights were fantastic success whilst the final tally isn’t in yet but it is expected the events will raise in and around €30k according to Paddy McPoland, one of the event organisers.
The IMNDA would like to extend its sincere thanks to Jan Battles, Kodaline, Paddy McPoland & MCD promotions, Whelans, Aoife Kelly from Sony Records, Duncan Ellis & Lewis Palmer from Scruffy Bird Management.
