Munster Research Study Requiring Participants

Living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Dysphagia – the personal experiences of individuals with MND and their caregivers.

Dominika Lisiecka, HRB Fellow is conducting a research project as part of the requirements for for her PhD. The main aim of this research is to improve our understanding of the experiences of swallowing problems in people with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their caregivers.

She is currently recruiting  adults with MND and their caregivers in the Munster area for this research project. It will involve her visiting people in their homes to talk about their day to day experiences of MND and swallowing problems.

This study has been approved by the Clinical Research Ethics Committe of the Cork Teaching Hospitals and it has been funded by the Health Research Board. It is being supervised by Dr. Helen Kelly and Prof. Jeanne Jackson. The IMNDA is an official collaborator for this study.
