Recharge Grant 2019

Do you know about our Recharge Grant? This amazing grant offers people with MND and their loves ones the opportunity to have a break from their usual routine and enjoy some quality time together.

Why not use this grant to fund a one off hotel break in Ireland. The Recharge Grant is available to you and your family for some much needed time away together. Or alternatively it can be used by your caregiver to have time out by themselves.

Who can apply?

You can apply for this grant if you are registered with the IMNDA or care for someone who is registered and are residing in Ireland. The grant can be used by families or by a couple to enjoy much needed quality time together. It could alternatively be used by the caregiver to have time out to themselves.

What can the grant be used for?

This grant can be used to fund a one off hotel break from the list of specified hotel chains in Ireland and can include the cost of accommodation, meals, holistic therapies etc within the hotel.

Please note all payments must be paid directly to the supplier and cannot be paid retrospectively to the client. Please ask the chosen hotel to contact us to arrange payment prior to the holiday.

How much can I apply for?

Grants up to €1000 may be submitted for consideration. This grant is subject to funding and we cannot guarantee that all applications will be successful.

How do I apply?

Please complete the grant application form in full and with as much detail on how you would use the grant and the difference it would make to you and return it to us at the IMNDA office. In order to ensure a quick decision on your application please include the details of where and when you intend to use the grant as we are unable to process the application without all the relevant details. Terms and Conditions:

For audit purposes we require invoices for all expenses directly from the hotel and this must be agreed with the hotel prior to the break taking place.

We ask all recipients to include a short Feedback from to help to highlight the difference the grant has made. We appreciate you taking the time to complete this as it enables us to evaluate the impact of the grant.
