Sing or Swim for the IMNDA this Jan!

SPONSORED SWIM TO RAISE FUNDS FOR IRISH MOTOR NEURON DISEASE ASSOCIATION

DATE – SATURDAY 5^TH JANUARY

TIME – 12 o’clock – 3 pm

PLACE – FOUNTAINSTOWN BEACH, outside Carrigaline Co Cork

• The event will get underway at 12 o’clock on Jan 5^th finishing at 3 pm; to get to Fountainstown Beach follow signs out of Carrigaline for Crosshaven; Fountainstown is signposted to the right about 1km out of Carrigaline. There is ample parking at the venue.
• The Defence Forces from Collins Barracks will have tents set up in the car park close to the beach, for male/female changing, and a soup kitchen
• Soup and rolls will be provided by NLN Hollyhill Canteen
• The Army Band from Collins Barracks will provide music; there will also be traditional music and songs
• The swim will take place at 2 pm once the tide has started to come in; there will be hot soup for swimmers, as well as rolls; wetsuits advisable
• Funky Town surf school will provide wetsuits if needed, but there will be a limited number available
• Crosshaven RNLI, Civil Defence & local Coast Guard Unit are supporting the event

• It will also be possible to donate on the day; all funds will go directly to IMNDA
• This is a family friendly event
