Thomas Doonan gets Bawnboy Moving in March and raises over €43,000 for the IMNDA!!

The IMNDA is absolutely blown away by the funds raised over the last few months in Bawnboy, Co Cavan. Events, including a walk on Slieve Rushen, a 5km walk in Bawnboy, matches in Templeport and Bawnboy, cake sales, golf competitions and others, were held to raise money for the charity, all thanks to driving force Thomas Doonan. Thomas was diagnosed with MND in October 2020 and is extremely touched by the generosity of his wonderful local community.

The cheque for €43,560 was presented to IMNDA representative Barney Cully on Saturday 2nd July.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Thomas and his family and every single person and business who got involved to help make this fundraiser such an enormous success including: Cavan ESB social club, Smuggler’s Cycling, inmates and staff at Loughan House prison and SuperValu to name just a few!
