Three Peaks Challenge: Scotland, England & Wales

HDD UK Ltd have decided to collaborate with MFitness in Belmullet, Co Mayo and are planning to complete the Three Peaks Challenge on 12th May this year.

This involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales.

The total walking distance is 23miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). It’s the equivalent of climbing Croagh Patrick 4 times!

MFitness Managing Director, Michael Doocey is a close friend and cousin of HDD Director Anthony Doocey.

The idea to do this came about when climbing Croagh Patrick last November with Michael.

They are aiming to complete this challenge within 24 hours or less to raise funds for two amazing charities.

MFitness have chosen Cara Iorrais, as they are an incredible local charity that provide support services for Cancer patients and their families within their home town of Belmullet and Erris.

HDD UK Ltd have chosen the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. Anthony’s late mother Anne, who was an amazing lady, was affected by the disease and it’s a charity that is very much close to Anthony’s heart.

A team of 20 will aim to complete the challenge and as this event will take a huge amount of teamwork and preparation, training starts now.
