WALK WHILE YOU CAN IN MARLAY PARK

When Father Tony Coote, Parish Priest in Mount Merrion, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in March of last year, he began the life-changing fundraiser #WalkWhileYouCan, walking the length of Ireland to raise funds for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA). IMNDA is a charity which raises money and awareness for those who suffer from Motor Neurone Disease, helping them adapt their lives after being diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disease.

Inspired by Fr Tony, join me – Minister Josepha Madigan, for a local 5km walk in Marlay Park on the 6th of April to help spread awareness and hopefully raise some money for charity in the process.

I encourage everyone, young and old, to come along to show their support and walk with us through Marlay Park on Saturday the 6th of April at 9.30am. All are welcome. Bring family, friends, and neighbours along to join in, and most importantly, to have some fun!

All donations are welcome in advance, even if you can’t make it on the day! You can donate to Walk While You Can by following the link below. ?

We will be following the route of the Marlay parkrun. Meet at at the back of the park on the path between the lower college road car park and the children’s playground. No registration necessary http://www.parkrun.ie/marlay/course/

Hope to see you all there!
