03 May 2024

Documentary highlights star’s fundraising efforts for MND Community in UK & Ireland

RAM Films are delighted to announce the launch of their groundbreaking Kevin Sinfield CBE, 7-in-7-in-7 Fundraising Documentary via Super League Plus from Monday 6th May 2024. The film features Kevin’s visit to Dublin as part of his ultra-marathon challenge last December, where he met the late Charlie Bird who joined him for the final mile.

The Leeds-based video production company are offering the film as a pay-per-view option with the aim of adding to Kevin’s already amazing fundraising total which stands at over £8 million (€9.4M) to date.

Priced at just £9.99 (just under €12) with £6.00 (€7) of every purchase going to Kevin’s chosen MND charities, one of which is the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. The film is available to viewers in Ireland.

Narrated by the Oldham-born hero and inspired once again by former team-mate Rob Burrow and the MND Community, the film provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into Sinfield’s fourth, and for a number of reasons arguably most difficult fundraising challenge, which saw him run seven ultramarathons in seven days, raising over £1 million for the fourth consecutive year for his chosen Motor Neurone Disease charities.

Having joined the Rugby League icon on every step of the journey, RAM Films were once again given unprecedented access during and after the challenge to document the inside story of how Sinfield and his team’s determination and fundraising efforts have changed the lives of an entire community.

From the start line at AMT Headingley to the finish line at Buckingham Palace, the film will show all the trials and tribulations of this epic fundraiser; featuring exclusive interviews, audio recordings and never-before-seen footage from throughout the week-long challenge. This year’s offering includes a visit to SITraN (Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience) where Kevin & Rob Burrow’s former team-mate Jamie Jones-Buchanan MBE chats with Director of Research Development Dr Brian Dickie MBE, and Professor Dame Pamela Shaw to give viewers an invaluable insight into exactly how crucial fundraising is when it comes to research and drugs trials.

Viewers can watch the documentary from Monday 6th May 2024 at https://superleagueplus.co.uk/home

If you haven’t already, you’ll need to create a free account and then select the pay-per-view option to watch the film and donate to Kevin’s charities.

RAM FilmsHead of Production Jimmy Bray commented, “We’re absolutely delighted to be able to offer our production of Kevin’s latest challenge via Super League Plus. The challenge for us personally year on year is how to maximise awareness and more importantly raise funds to help as much as we can in the battle against MND. By offering viewers the pay-per-view option, we get the opportunity to give viewers an in-depth look behind the scenes at what it takes to complete a challenge like this whilst contributing the lions share directly to Kevin’s fundraising total and we’re extremely proud to be able to do so.”

Leeds Rhinos great Sinfield has now raised over £8 million for MND charities after his former teammate and good friend Rob Burrow was diagnosed with the disease in 2019, and his superhuman efforts have also increased awareness and inspired thousands more people to take up their own challenges.

All money raised from the Ultra 7 in 7 in 7challenge will support the fight against MND, with proceeds split between Kevin’s chosen charities which support people affected by MND and invest in research towards finding effective treatments and a cure for the disease.
